This pack gives you 1 Claude Code skill for finding and applying to Upwork jobs automatically.

Upwork Jobs

Scrapes Upwork for jobs matching your keywords, then generates personalized proposals for each one. Each proposal includes a tailored cover letter, a Mermaid architecture diagram showing your proposed solution, and a Google Doc you can review before submitting. Proposals are saved as drafts - you review and submit manually.

You need: APIFY_API_TOKEN (from apify.com - for scraping Upwork listings). ANTHROPIC_API_KEY (for generating proposals). Google OAuth credentials (for saving proposals to Google Docs). A config file with your skills, experience, and portfolio links so proposals are personalized to you.

I want you to install and set up the Upwork Outreach skill pack. Here's what to do:

Step 1 - Install the skill:

Run these commands:

git clone https://github.com/bohdan-aif/cc-upwork-outreach.git /tmp/cc-upwork-outreach

cd /tmp/cc-upwork-outreach && ./install.sh --all

Step 2 - Check my API keys:

Check if I have these environment variables set and help me add any missing to my ~/.zshrc:

Step 3 - Check dependencies:

Make sure I have python3 and these pip packages: apify-client, anthropic, google-auth, google-auth-oauthlib, google-api-python-client, python-dotenv, pyyaml. Install anything missing.

Step 4 - Set up my profile config:

The skill needs a config file with my professional details. Check if there's a config.example.yaml in the repo. If so, copy it to config.yaml and help me fill it in by asking me:

  • What services do I offer?
  • What's my relevant experience and portfolio?
  • What's my hourly rate or project pricing?
  • What keywords should we search for on Upwork?
  • Any job types I want to exclude?

Step 5 - Set up Google OAuth for Docs:

Check if I have Google OAuth credentials set up for Docs access. If not, walk me through creating them so proposals can be saved as Google Docs.

Step 6 - Test with a search:

Run a quick test search for 3 jobs in my niche to confirm everything works. Show me the results but don't generate proposals yet.

After setup, show me how to use it with a real example search.
