3. Start saying no to win

🎥 Video lesson — video not yet migrated (source Skool video id: 609c79de2c584cb790c6ce4be4a6c67b).

This module is inspired by Hormozi’s whole “anti-routine” idea — the mindset that helped him go from nearly broke to taking home more than a million a month in a year and a half. And the core insight from that story is honestly pretty obvious once you hear it:

Success didn’t come from adding more.

It came from removing everything that slowed him down.

Most people want to “optimize” by stacking new habits, new routines, new tools, new hacks… and they just end up with a busier calendar and worse output.

So this week, we’re doing the opposite.

This is a subtraction routine.

A Season of No.

Because if we’re being real:

You don’t need more things to do.

You need less noise so the important things can actually get done.

Your Season of No

For the next seven days, I want you to treat your time with a bit more aggression.

Not forever.

Not for the rest of your life.

Just for this focused period.

Think of it like clearing a runway.

If everything is important, nothing is.

So for one week, you’re going to act like only one thing matters — and everything else gets a default no.

And you’ll be shocked at how much mental space this creates.

Why “No” actually matters

Your day is currently filled with tiny leaks.

Open loops.

Notifications.

People asking for “just a minute.”

Social expectations that you never agreed to.

Content you don’t even remember opening.

Calls that don’t move anything forward.

Every one of these is tiny, but together, they kill your ability to go deep on anything meaningful.

The “Anti-Routine” — translated into what you should actually do

The idea is to remove EVERYTHING that isn't essential.

Cut until only the high-leverage stuff remains.

Here’s how that translates to your life right now:

1. Stop being instantly available to everyone

Responsiveness is a hidden tax.

Turn off notifications.

Stop replying instantly.

Check messages on YOUR schedule.

And don’t feel guilty.

2. Stop joining every call, mastermind, and webinar

Most “learning” is actually procrastination wearing a productivity costume.

If it’s not solving your CURRENT problem, skip it.

This week is for building things, not consuming.

3. Protect one deep-work block every day

Hormozi did 4AM–12PM. You don’t need to do that.

Pick any 3–4 hour window where you’re sharp (according to Huberman, it's ~3 hours after you wake up).

And make it sacred:

No meetings.

No calls.

No replying.

No social.

Just doing the work that moves your business forward.

4. Treat weekends like normal days

This isn’t about hustling 24/7.

It’s about keeping your sleep schedule consistent so you don’t destroy Monday.

A messed-up sleep cycle ruins productivity faster than any “bad habit.”
Another productivity hack here: you can get more done by working 8 hours per day for 7 days a week than 12 hours/day for 5 days a week.

5. Simplify eating

He fasted 1–2 days a week because it removed cooking, cleaning, decision-making — everything.

You don’t need to fast, but you should simplify:

Meal prep

Skip breakfast

Whatever works for you

Point is: less friction, more focus.

6. Delete social media from your phone

This one alone can change your entire productivity.

You will instantly get back 1–4 hours a day without even trying.

Keep social apps only on your laptop.

Publish from there.

Consume nothing.

Your assignment for the week

1. Choose ONE area to dramatically reduce

Pick one of these and cut it aggressively:

  • messages
  • meetings
  • social media
  • events
  • calls
  • weekend inconsistency
  • overcomplicated eating
  • overcommitted gym routines

Just pick one or two. Keep it simple.

2. Commit to a 7-day Season of No

Use this sentence:

“For the next 7 days, my default answer is no. Only one priority matters. Everything else can wait.”

Put it somewhere you’ll see it.

3. Choose ONE anti-routine tactic and fully implement it

Examples:

  • Delete all social apps
  • No messaging before noon
  • 4 hours of deep work, every day
  • No optional events
  • Workouts 2x/week max
  • One consistent sleep schedule
  • Consume zero content for 7 days
  • No unnecessary calls

Choose one and go all in.

4. Track your results

Answer these questions at the end of the week:

  • What did I say “no” to?
  • How much time did I get back?
  • How did my mood change?
  • What was surprisingly easy to eliminate?
  • What felt hard?
  • What do I want to remove next?

This reflection matters more than you think — because it shows you exactly where your hidden time and energy leaks are.

Less noise → more execution → more results.
