FB ads workflow (Nano Banana)

This workflow is a complete AI-powered Facebook ad production line built with Airtable + n8n + Perplexity + Claude + Google’s Nano Banana image model. It takes a simple product input (name + URL) and turns it into a full ad package:

  • researched problem–solution fit
  • 10 high-quality Facebook ad variations (headline, primary text, CTA)
  • multiple tailored image prompts
  • final ad images generated via Nano Banana and stored via CDN (ImageKit)

The system is split into 4 flows:

  1. Research Product – Perplexity analyzes the product page and extracts target audience, pain points, and solution.
  2. Ad Copy Generation – Claude creates 10 direct-response ad variations based on the research.
  3. Image Prompt Creation – an “AI Art Director” prompt turns each ad into multiple detailed visual prompts.
  4. Image Generation – Google’s Nano Banana generates images from the prompts; ImageKit stores and returns final URLs.

All of this is orchestrated via Airtable buttons + automations and n8n workflows.

What You Need to Customize

Before using this workflow in your own stack or for clients, make sure to update:

1. API Keys & Credentials

  • Perplexity API key
  • Claude / OpenAI (depending on your setup)
  • Google AI Studio API key (Nano Banana)
  • ImageKit API key (or your own storage/CDN)
  • Airtable API connection in n8n

2. Airtable Base & Tables

Make sure your Airtable structure matches what the workflow expects, or adjust the node mappings to your own schema:

  • Products table (product name, URL, target audience, pain point, solution, status flags, buttons)
  • Ad Copy table (headline, primary text, CTA, full ad, status, link to product)
  • Image Prompts table (prompt text, creative angle, overlay text, link to ad copy)
  • Images table (image URL, related prompt, ad copy, product)

If your field or table names are different, update all Airtable nodes in n8n accordingly.

3. Webhooks & URLs

  • Replace the test and production webhook URLs in Airtable automations with your own n8n webhook URLs.
  • Make sure the paths and query parameters match what the workflow expects (e.g., recordId).

4. Prompts & Brand Voice

  • Adjust the Perplexity prompt to fit your niche or product types.
  • Customize the Claude system prompt (copywriter persona, tone, character limits, structure).
  • Customize the Art Director prompt for your brand style (colors, layout, style, aspect ratio, etc.). This is where you make the system feel like your ad engine, not just a generic template.

5. Storage & File Handling

  • If you don’t want to use ImageKit, replace that node with your preferred file storage provider (S3, Cloudinary, etc.).
  • Update how the image URL is written back to Airtable.

6. Use Case-Specific Tweaks

  • If you’re not targeting Facebook only, you can adapt the copy format and image specs for other platforms.
  • You can also reduce the number of variations (e.g., from 10 to 3–5) if you want faster runs.
