Welcome — Who I Am, What We're Building & Why It Matters
This video introduces who I am, what this course covers, and why natural language is replacing traditional code as the way we build technology in 2026.
About Your Instructor: My name's Adam, I'm based in Sydney, Australia. I started as a freelancer on Upwork — 60+ projects over 2–3 years with strong five-star reviews. From there I built an agency called APG Software (apgsoftware.com) and started a YouTube channel focused on AI education from a technical, builder's perspective. I'm in these tools every single day, finding new ways to use them across my agency, businesses, and personal brand.
My background isn't traditional tech — I came from construction and completed most of a civil engineering degree, so I bring a logical, problem-solving mindset. I taught myself to build through low-code tools like Bubble (we became a Silver Partner), then picked up HTML/CSS/JavaScript fundamentals on Code Academy, moved into visual automation tools like n8n and Make.com, and now work almost entirely through Claude Code using natural language.
What This Course Covers:
- Fundamentals of technology — core concepts and terminology you need to understand what you're actually building
- AI and how to use it properly — prompting, getting the most out of LLMs, and understanding the tools available
- Live builds — real projects built from scratch so you can see the full process in action
The Evolution of Building Tech:
- Era 1: Traditional Code (Pre-2020) — Writing code line by line. Slow, expensive, requires years of study. Less than 1% of the world is proficient in multiple coding languages.
- Era 2: No-Code & Visual Builders — Tools like Bubble, Make.com, Zapier, and n8n made building faster and more accessible through visual interfaces instead of raw code.
- Era 3: Natural Language (2026) — Using LLMs like Claude Code to build with plain English. No need to understand APIs or coding languages — you describe what you want and it builds it.
Why Claude Code Specifically? At this point in time, Claude Code is the most popular and capable tool for plugging into an IDE and building with natural language. That said, tools like Gemini can do a lot of the same things — this isn't locked to one LLM. The principles transfer.
Key Benefits of the Natural Language Approach:
- Accessible to everyone — salespeople, marketers, business owners, hobbyists — anyone who can describe what they want
- Full autonomy — everything is built locally on your computer and you own it all
- Build powerful tools — web scrapers, research agents, email automation, lead calling — all directly from Claude Code without needing third-party services in most cases
- Claude Skills — pre-built tools you can pull in and use instantly, or build your own and share them with others
- Own everything — instead of renting SaaS tools per user per month, you can now build and own the equivalent yourself
The Speed Revolution: If you're coming from a tech background, this will resonate: things are roughly 30x faster now than they were 2–3 years ago. Projects that used to require teams of five and six-figure budgets can now realistically be delivered in weeks by someone who knows how to use these tools properly. This is fundamentally disrupting the SaaS industry — and tools like HubSpot are already seeing the impact on their share prices.
The Important Caveat: Natural language is the new programming language — but that doesn't mean it's easy. You still need to clearly communicate what you want. A basic understanding of how tech works, core terminology, and the fundamentals of software architecture will dramatically improve your prompting and your results. Think of it as 50x easier to get into tech now, but the people who understand the building blocks will always get the best output. That's exactly what this course is designed to give you.
